Don't forget to sign up for Homestead Exemption?

Did you buy a new home in 2015? If so, don't forget to sign up for Homestead Exemption if the home you bought is your primary residence. There's no charge to sign up but you will be surprised how much you can save on future property taxes. It's easy too: Just take your warranty deed, car tag number and identification to the Tax Assessor's office at the Courthouse no later then March 30th. You will fill out a short form and that's it. There is no need to refile the following years unless you reach age 65 or become disabled. Questions? Call our office at 662-455-9333.
